Call to Order at 6:35 by Richard II. Approval of 4/2/13 Minutes motioned by Fred, seconded by Richard III. Treasurers Report: Fred discussed monthly transactions. See attached report V. Directors Report: Max a. Statistics: See report. People counter is in place; attendance statistics will be unreliable for a while as numbers are collected. b. Downloadable Book Consortium Annual Meeting: Max attended the meeting and reported that the cost of our participation will be rising, Ebooks are consistently used by New Durham patrons, and the pros and cons of the program for our community. c. Primex Evaluation Workshop was attended by Max. d. Programming Update: Cocoa and Cliffhangers was steadily attended and very successful. Read alouds of this type will continue. Max is collaborating with 4H for a summer photography program. He is looking for a volunteer to staff the program with him. Max is exploring the Kids Can Grow program through the Master Gardeners. Les Turner is a possible local contact for gardening programming. Stones and Bones, the summer reading program, will kick off on June 23. Preparations are well underway. VI. Old Business a. Merit Raise Update: No merit raises were given to Library staff. For future discussion Should library evaluations be sent to Town Hall? VII. New Business a. Library Aide Position Update: Linda will be back in June. b. Painting of Library Exterior: Motioned by Fred: Trustees feel the library needs to be restained every 4 years. It was done 2 years ago and at that time it was recommended two sides should be restained within 2 years- which would be in 2014. Motion seconded by Richard. The motion passed unanimously. c. Pat Jones Retirement: Max will investigate gift ideas to celebrate the hard work of Ms. Jones from the library d. Restroom Storage is not an option to solve space needs in the library.
